Job summary

HealthPartners is seeking a Pharmacist In Charge to join our Infusion Pharmacy team. This role oversees daily site operations, mentors staff, and ensures compliance, safety, and quality in dispensing and oncology, rheumatology, and specialty infusion preparation.

You will manage inventory, coach staff, coordinate programs, and ensure adherence to state and federal regulations while delivering high-quality patient care in a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and two or more years of experience as a pharmacist (preferably within PNHS) or PharmD.
• Previous management experience is highly desirable.
• State of MN Pharmacy Licensure (Lic-ps).

Responsibilities

Position Summary

Manages the daily operation of a site pharmacy, to ensure high-quality patient services and optimum profitability. Performs ongoing coaching, teaching, and monitoring of pharmacy staff, as well as conducting annual performance evaluations for each employee at the site. Plans, coordinates, and maintains sufficient pharmaceutical inventory. Assists in the development of operational goals and objectives and assures they are attained through the planning, implementing, and directing of programs, procedures, systems, and support staff. Dispenses medications to patients in accordance with state and federal legislation.

Responsible for oversight of oncology, rheumatology, and specialty infusion medication preparation and dispensing, regulatory compliance, inventory management, clinical workflow support, and day-to-day pharmacy operations.

Work Schedule

Days, Monday through Friday; no weekends or holidays.

Required Qualifications

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and two or more years of experience as a pharmacist (preferably within PNHS) or Pharm D. Previous management experience is highly desirable.

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification

• State of MN Pharmacy Lic-ps

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Registered Pharmacist who is familiar with pharmacy regulations, insurance programs and financial and automated pharmacy systems. The highly organized individual should possess the ability to work effectively with others in the planning, coordinating, and directing of pharmacy operations.
• Demonstrated leadership, written/verbal communications and customer service skills are also essential to this position.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
• This position requires familiarity and compliance with matters of law, regulations and internal policies affecting the employment relationship, (including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, discrimination, and harassment laws).
• Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: Telephone, Photocopier, Fax Machine, Automated Pharmacy Systems, Cash Register, Visa Machine and Printer, Computer skills including Pharmacy Computer Systems, Windows, Email (Outlook), & Word.
