ALABAMA REGIONAL MEDICAL SERVICES' ARMS Rapid Care Pharmacy in Birmingham, AL is seeking a full-time Pharmacist to lead a high-performing team and ensure exceptional patient care across our pharmacy operations.

You will oversee day-to-day activities, mentor technicians, supervise compliance with Alabama laws, optimize 340B opportunities, and contribute to community outreach and revenue initiatives, while maintaining safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm or PharmD).
  • Active license to practice pharmacy in Alabama.
  • Minimum 5 years of pharmacy experience.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with ARMS policy and Alabama state laws.
  • Supervise and mentor Pharmacy Technicians and PRN Technicians.
  • Dispense medications with a strong commitment to patient safety and organizational procedures.
  • Monitor pharmacy trends, optimize 340B opportunities, and pursue revenue-enhancing initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with federal/state regulations, Joint Commission standards, and safety protocols.
  • Lead the development of pharmacy marketing plans and educational outreach efforts.
  • Support business development and community pharmacy programs.
  • Conduct regular inventory control, including timely removal of expired medications.
