Job description

Guardian Pharmacy of Columbus, LLC, a member of the Guardian family of pharmacies, is seeking a pharmacist to support our rapidly growing team in Columbus, OH.

Schedule

Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 7:00 pm

Saturday & Sunday Rotation: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Pay Range

$120,000 - $140,000

Essential Responsibilities
  • Accurately prepare medications for final dispensing, including filling, order entry, and packaging.
  • Review completed orders and cycle-fill medications to ensure prescriptions were filled correctly.
  • Verify the legality and feasibility of dispensing a drug based on patient allergies, incompatibilities, and refill frequency.
  • Interpret prescription orders, exercising professional judgment to determine appropriateness of dispensing.
  • Adhere to all Federal and State Board of Pharmacy regulations and applicable compounding guidelines.
  • Transfer prescriptions to other pharmacies as needed.
  • Answer questions from patients, doctors, nurses, and other stakeholders.
  • Evaluate inventory levels, place orders when below par, and identify cost‑effective replacements for out‑of‑stock items.
  • Notify customers/facilities of stock status and expected availability.
  • Restock station supplies (vials, cassettes, labels, delivery tickets, etc.).
  • Oversee technicians, provide feedback to their supervisor regarding performance.
  • Log all medication error occurrences.
  • Perform other essential functions and duties as assigned.

Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD (required).
  • State Pharmacist License without restrictions (required).

  • Medical consulting experience preferred.
