Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy in Columbus, Ohio seeks a Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician I to accurately fill and package prescriptions for delivery. The role reports to a Registered Pharmacist and emphasizes accuracy, speed, and collaboration with the pharmacy team.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, labeling, scanning, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. A HS diploma and state license/certification are required, with national certification preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required by state.
  • Pharmacy Technician license/certification per state requirements; National Certification preferred (PTCB).
  • 1+ years of related experience or equivalent technical knowledge.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work independently.

  • Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and pulling appropriate prescriptions from inventory.
  • Apply labels to medication packaging, scan and assemble into appropriate bins accurately and timely.
  • Alert pharmacist on duty of any medication that is not scanning properly.
  • Participate in training to gain proficiency in other fulfillment areas.
  • Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate supply of medication for orders.
  • Maintain inventory at appropriate levels and keep work area neat and organized.
  • Meet pharmacy accuracy and productivity targets.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other areas to keep workflow smooth.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly workstation and proper stock replenishment.
  • Comply with laws and policies related to dispensing medications.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, the Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for filling and packaging prescriptions accurately and in a timely manner for delivery to our customers.

Essential Job Functions
  • Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and pulling appropriate prescriptions from inventory.
  • Apply labels to medication packaging, scan and assemble into appropriate bins accurately and timely.
  • Alert pharmacist on duty of any medication that is not scanning properly.
  • Participate in training and development activities to gain proficiency in other fulfillment workflow areas.
  • Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate supply of medication available to complete all orders.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory at appropriate levels, including removing expired or unused medications, marking used bottles and keeping inventory neat and arranged in order. May assist in physical inventory.
  • Consistently meet pharmacy’s established accuracy and productivity levels.
  • Work collaboratively with other supervisors/functional areas to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workstation. Put medications away and replenish all stock supplies needed.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the dispensing of prescription medications.
  • Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed.
Education & Certifications
  • High School Diploma or GED (per state requirements)
  • Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements); National Certification preferred (PTCB)
Skills and Qualifications
  • 1+ years of related experience (technical knowledge/skills may substitute for experience)
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to excel in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines.
