Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacist in a Fulfillment Center to verify prescriptions and provide pharmacy expertise, ensuring high quality and service. You will work independently and with peers to maintain accurate communication and execution.

Responsibilities include prescription verification, dispensing within workflow, and supporting pharmacy efficiency, inventory and process improvements while adhering to HIPAA and legal requirements.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited institution.
• Current Pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authorities.
• Experience working with confidential information.
• Willing to work non-standard hours, including evenings/holidays/weekends.
• Experience delivering customer service to internal and external customers with quality standards.
• Ability to work with little supervision and determine when escalation is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Performs fulfillment center pharmacist tasks including prescription verification and data review.
• Reviews, interprets and dispenses prescribed medications within pharmacy workflow.
• Supports workflow efficiency, inventory management and process improvements to drive quality output.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy IT systems and provides staff support.
• Responds to questions from staff and leadership, coaching on policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA guidelines and pharmacy laws.
