Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Fulfillment Center Pharmacist to verify prescriptions, review data, and dispense medications accurately within the pharmacy workflow. You will perform pharmacist responsibilities independently and with peers to ensure communication and quality across the center.

The role requires a PharmD/BS in Pharmacy, active state license, HIPAA compliance, and flexibility to work evenings, holidays, or weekends.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current Pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authorities and maintains all state licenses required by dispensing facility.
• Experience working with confidential information.
• Willing to work non-standard hours, including evenings, holidays and/or weekends.
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluating customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Performs fulfillment center pharmacist tasks including prescription verification and data review; takes necessary actions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications.
• Reviews, interprets and accurately dispenses prescribed medications within pharmacy workflow.
• Supports the efficient workflow of the pharmacy and assists the pharmacy team in optimizing pharmacy financials, inventory management and processes that drive safe, quality output.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy IT systems and workflow to provide support to staff and promote productivity and quality.
• Responds to information requests from pharmacy staff and leadership; provides feedback or coaching to ensure policy adherence, especially regarding quality and accuracy.
• Responsible for questions and issues related to prescription fulfillment processes within the micro fulfillment center.
• Follows guidelines to meet goals; adheres to HIPAA and company policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws.
