Job summary

King Soopers is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced retail pharmacy in Colorado Springs. The role includes immunizations, prescription dispensing, and reviewing orders for accuracy while ensuring compliance with laws and company policies.

You will lead a team of technicians, support promotional programs, and maintain safety and quality standards in daily operations.

Qualifications

Must be a licensed Pharmacist in good standing.
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
Excellent Planning and Organizational skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
Drivers license and ability to travel independently.

Responsibilities

Commitment to providing customer service that makes internal and external customers feel welcome, important and appreciated.
Administer immunizations to customers following Kroger standing orders and procedures.
Dispense medications to customers pursuant to prescriptions and, following laws, regulations, policies and procedures, and ethical standards.
Review prescriptions issued by prescribers to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.
Verify new medication against existing medication and patient profile to ensure no-drug or drug interactions.
Verify the work of Pharmacy Technicians and Interns, including accuracy of all prescriptions assembled.
Support special promotions in consultation with the Pharmacy Manager.
Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions.
