Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for its Pharmacy Float Pool to ensure safe, effective medication use across facilities. You will process and verify orders, monitor therapies, and provide drug information to clinicians and patients.

Responsibilities include supervising support staff, stepping in for pharmacy manager when needed, and contributing to quality improvement. A PharmD or B.Pharm with Missouri licensure is required, with ASHP residency preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Pharmacy from ACPE-accredited school.
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree; ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency preferred.

Job Description

Staff pharmacists process/verify orders for medications, monitor patient medication therapies and provide drug information. Staff pharmacists supervise and direct support personnel. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager.

Education

• Required: Bachelor's in pharmacy - Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy
• Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy - Completion of ASHP accredited PGY1 residency

Experience

• Required: No Prior Experience Required
• Preferred: 2 years healthcare setting or equivalent residency training
