Job summary

The Kroger Co. in Colorado is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support our King Soopers pharmacy team. You will ensure safe, accurate dispensing, provide patient counseling, and help manage the department’s clinical activities and immunization services.

You will work across multiple locations as needed, maintaining compliance with state and federal laws, and collaborating with prescribers and customers to deliver high-quality care in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• Possess a current Pharmacist license in the state where employment is sought with no stipulations or Board ordered restrictions.
• Graduate of a US School of Pharmacy or have passed a foreign equivalency exam.
• Successfully passed the NAPLEX exam.
• Ability to work at various locations.
• Ability to travel independently.
• Staff pharmacist is a desirable role

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Answer questions regarding products and prescriptions to help customers feel welcome and valued.
• Communicate effectively with customers and store personnel.
• Validate Rx orders and ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
• Accurately interpret, fill, label and bag prescription orders.
• Provide drug counseling to customers and prescribers.
• Handle third-party billing procedures and insurance information.
• Maintain accurate records and inventory, including controlled substances, per regulations.
• Promote immunizations and engage in clinical activities within training.
• Oversee departmental administration in the manager's absence.
