Piedmont Newton Hospital in Georgia is seeking a licensed pharmacist to oversee distribution, compounding and medication therapy across infant to geriatric patients in a hospital setting.

You will supervise pharmacy technicians, ensure accurate dispensing, maintain compliance with ACPE standards, and engage in ongoing professional development while providing patient-focused care.

Formación

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's or higher in Pharmacy Required
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Licensed Pharmacist in Georgia upon hire

• Distribute, document and compound drugs and equipment to meet patient and staff needs
• Review, compound, dispense and monitor medication therapy across age groups (infants to geriatrics)

Overview:

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.

Education
