Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital in Newnan, Georgia is seeking a licensed pharmacist to perform distribution, compounding and medication therapy review for patients across all ages, from infants to geriatrics. You will review, dispense and monitor therapies and supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's or higher in Pharmacy.
  • No experience required; hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • PHARMD license as a registered Pharmacist in Georgia required upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff.
  • Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for patients across age groups (infants to geriatrics).
  • Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel.
  • Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice.
  • Performs patient-focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.
