Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required.
• Current licensure as a Pharmacist in the District of Columbia.
• Minimum of two years of clinical pharmacy experience.
• Prior retail or community pharmacy experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise all aspects of pharmacy operations.
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians.
• Dispense prescribed medications accurately and safely.
• Provide medication education and counseling.
• Serve as a pharmaceutical resource to healthcare providers and clinical staff.
• Identify potential misuse or abuse of pharmaceuticals and corrective action.
• Assist with monthly/quarterly pharmacy activity reports.
• Maintain inventory of medications and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and regulations.
• Develop training for nursing staff regarding medications.
• Recommend updates to pharmacy instructions and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
