Job summary

Qualifications

• Pharmacist must be licensed in Illinois.
• Ability to mentor and train pharmacy technicians.
• Retail/Community Pharmacy experience preferred.
• Immunization and patient education knowledge emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results and guide expansion of the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Be competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures and state/federal laws.
• Demonstrate effective communication and act as agent of change.
• Maintain excellent organization and prioritize workload.
• Listen to patients and address needs; provide strong customer service.
• In absence of pharmacist in charge, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations.
• This profile may include other duties as assigned.
