Job summary

Lumicera Health Services is seeking a Pharmacist, Clinical Operations to join our team in Winchester, VA. The role focuses on telephonic patient consultations, medication reconciliation, and ensuring accurate order verification for specialty medications.

The pharmacist will interpret prescriptions, verify details with prescribers or patients, and strive to meet department production metrics while upholding Lumicera quality standards and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from ACPE-accredited school.
• Current, unrestricted Pharmacist license where on-site work will be conducted.
• At least 2 years of licensed pharmacist experience.
• Specialty pharmacy experience or REMS knowledge preferred.
• Commitment to compliance and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Verify prescriptions and maintain detailed records; coordinate with physicians and nurses on pharmaceutical questions.
• Document patient consultations and interventions in pharmacy software per policies and regulatory bodies.
• Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians.
• Evaluate prescriptions for specialty medications and verify information with providers to expedite orders.
• Communicate with providers to convert to generic, biosimilar, or preferred therapies when possible.
• Assist with workflow adaptations and contribute to quality management programs.
