Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Pharmacist for our acute hospital. The role supports patient care during the 10pm–8am schedule (7 on/7 off) within a full night/evening shift.

Responsibilities include coordinating pharmaceutical care, reviewing medication orders, and providing education to staff, patients, and students. North Carolina pharmacy licensure and a BS with preferred Doctoral degree are required or preferred, respectively.

  • Requires active North Carolina Pharmacist license.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Doctoral degree preferred.

Frye Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a dedicated Pharmacist to join our acute care team. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and the overall health of our community.

Position Summary

Coordinates and provides the pharmaceutical care of patients.

Essential Functions
  • Manage drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Review, interpret, and evaluate medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential or actual drug‑related problems.
  • Provide drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and pharmacy students.
  • Document interventions and their outcomes for drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
  • Evaluate medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to entry; verify accuracy after filling by technicians.
Required Skills

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must tolerate a stressful environment and respond appropriately.

Education / Certification
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree Required; Doctoral Degree Preferred
  • Licenses: Pharmacy License in the state of North Carolina
