Job summary
North Memorial Health in Minnesota seeks a pharmacist to provide quality, timely, and cost-effective drug therapy to customers. You will review orders for dosing, interactions and allergies, and oversee dispensing by technicians in a hospital setting.
The role requires Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy, a PGY-1 residency or 3 years hospital experience, and MN license, with board certification preferred. On-site work with multiple benefits included.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency program or 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
- Licensed by MN State Board of Pharmacy. Board certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality, timely, and cost-effective drug therapy to customers.
- Review medication orders for appropriateness, dosing, frequency, interactions and allergies.
- Oversee dispensing of medications and IV solutions by pharmacy technicians.

Our health system encompasses two hospital locations in Robbinsdale and Maple Grove as well as a network of 23 clinics which includes 13 primary clinics, 6 specialty clinics, 4 urgent care/urgency centers and emergency care offerings covering five counties. Our Robbinsdale Hospital, established in 1954, is a 385-bed facility recognized as the top Level 1 Trauma center for 25 years, as well as serving as a Level II pediatric trauma center. Our Maple Grove Hospital was established in 2009, is a 134-bed facility recognized as a top hospital in the state for Women and Children Care, with a Level III NICU, and is the largest Family Birth Center in the state (:5,000 deliveries per year and over 60,000 babies delivered). The pharmacist will provide quality, timely, and cost-effective drug therapy to our customers. Performs clinical pharmacy functions, including customer monitoring and consulting with other clinical team members. Reviews medication orders for appropriateness, dosing, frequency, potential interactions and possible allergic reactions. Oversees the dispensing of medications and intravenous solutions by pharmacy technicians.
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree
- PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency (or 3-years hospital pharmacy experience)
- Preferred: board certification
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency program (or 3-years pharmacist hospital experience)
- Computer and keyboard skills
- Excellent problem solving & communication skills (verbal & written)
- Adaptable to changing priorities, tasks, and work schedules to meet customer needs
- Licensed by MN State Board of Pharmacy

Benefit Eligibility: Health insurance benefits are available for this position. North Memorial Health offers multiple health plans based on work group eligibility.
Salary Range: PEPOM ($74.98 - $86.54), based on experience
Shift Differential: Compensation may include shift differential pay depending on the position and shift worked.
