Job summary

Onco360 Pharmacy in Waltham, MA is seeking a Full Time Pharmacist for an onsite role. The position offers a starting salary around $135,000+ depending on experience, with a $4.00 weekend shift differential and a $5,000 sign-on bonus if started before December 31, 2026.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy is required.
• One year of specialty pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and federal and state regulations.
• Current license in the state of practice is required.
• Multi-state licenses are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and route of administration; make recommendations for therapy changes.
• Maintain patient database with clinical and medication history.
• Ensure laboratory tests for monitoring high risk conditions are ordered and discussed with the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support as needed.
• Document all communication with physicians, nurses, and patients.
• Implement policies for safe procurement, storage, distribution, and disposal of drugs.
• Obtain and maintain all required documentation per regulatory agencies.
• Inform Pharmacy Manager of medication related errors.
• Assist staff with safe and effective procurement and administration of drugs.
• Perform other assigned tasks.

• Monday, (off Tuesdays), Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 10:30-7:00 pm EST, and every other weekend 9:00 am-5:30 pm EST

• Maintains patient database to include appropriate current and past medical history, appropriate clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medication (including over-the-counter and home remedies).
• Ensures that appropriate laboratory tests for monitoring certain high risk conditions are ordered, evaluated and discussed with appropriate members of the healthcare team.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support as needed.
• Documents all communication with physicians, nurses, other members of the healthcare team and patients.
• Implements policies and procedures for the safe procurement, storage, distribution and use of drugs and biologicals, as well as disposal of drugs.
• Obtains, as necessary, and maintains all required documentation in accordance with federal and state regulatory agencies.
• Informs the Pharmacy Manager of medication related errors.
• Assists facility/agency staff personnel with procedures relating to safe and effective methods of procuring, maintaining, administering and disposing of drugs.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Education/Learning Experience

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy

Work Experience

• Desired: One year experience in specialty pharmacy preferred

Skills/Knowledge

• Required: Knowledge of pharmacy laws and federal and state regulations. Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.

Licenses/Certifications

• Required: Current license in the state of practice
• Desired: Ideal candidates will have multi-state licenses
