Job summary

VytlOne is recruiting a Pharmacist to provide coverage at The Pharmacy at Thibodaux Regional. This role blends specialty and retail pharmacy within a care-transition model, covering two pharmacists as needed.

The candidate should hold a PharmD or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy and have at least 2 years of retail experience, with Louisiana licensure. Strong communication skills and supervisory ability are required; familiarity with pharmacy software is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Minimum of 2 years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Current license to practice pharmacy in Louisiana.
• Ability to supervise pharmacy staff in accordance with policies and laws.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Reviews prescriptions to assure accuracy and appropriate formulas.
• Compounds medications using standard formulas and processes.
• Answers questions about drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.
• Maintains procedures for quality assurance, controlled substances, and waste disposal.
• Enters data to maintain patient files, billing, and inventory.

VytlOne is currently recruiting for a Pharmacist to provide coverage at The Pharmacy at Thibodaux Regional. This is a unique opportunity to practice both Specialty and Retail pharmacy in a model that integrates the pharmacy into the care transition model. The Pharmacist will provide coverage for our two Pharmacists on a as needed basis.

Responsibilities

• Reviews prescriptions issued by Physician, or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.
• Compounds medications, using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, if applicable.
• Answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
• Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
• Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication, and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
• Minimum of 2 years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Current licenses in good standing to practice pharmacy in the state of Louisianna.
• Ability to supervise pharmacy staff in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal patient care.
• A passion for outstanding customer service, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Computer experience mandatory. Ability to operate various pharmacy software programs/equipment proficiently.
