Job summary

VytlOne is seeking a PRN Pharmacist for our Parish Pharmacy location in Lutcher, LA. The role supports the Pharmacy Manager as needed, providing outpatient services with a focus on accurate dispensing and excellent patient care.

Qualified candidates hold a PharmD or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy and a Louisiana license. Retail experience and strong communication are highly desirable as the team delivers high-quality service.

Responsibilities

Overview

VtylOne is currently recruiting for a PRN Pharmacist for our Parish Pharmacy location in Lutcher, LA. This is a unique opportunity to practice outpatient pharmacy in a model that integrates the pharmacy into the patient care transition model. The PRN Pharmacist will provide coverage for our Pharmacy Manager on a as needed basis.

Salary Range: $65-$68 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Reviews prescriptions issued by Physician, or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.
• Answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
• Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
• Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication, and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Retail pharmacy experience perferred.
• Current licenses in good standing to practice pharmacy in the state of Louisiana.
• Ability to supervise pharmacy staff in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal patient care.
• A passion for outstanding customer service, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Computer experience mandatory. Ability to operate various pharmacy software programs/equipment proficiently.
