Woodmark Pharmacy of Connecticut is seeking a responsible Staff Pharmacist for a full-time, second shift role in Connecticut. New graduates are welcome to apply and the schedule runs 2:00pm–10:00pm with rotating weekends.

The role emphasizes clinical pharmacy care, coordination of medication distribution, and participation in safety initiatives, with a strong focus on geriatric patients in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree required; geriatrics certification preferred.
• Excellent clinical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; high-quality pharmaceutical care.
• 2-3 years’ clinical pharmacy experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• Familiarity with nursing home regulations and guidance.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must be able to read/write/speak English at an intermediate level or higher.

Salary

Shift: 2:00pm - 10:00pm. Must be able to meet schedule requirements. Rotating weekends but there is flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Applies the principles of pharmaceutical care to ensure optimum medication-related patient outcomes.
• Coordinates the distribution of medications to patients.
• Participates, proactively, in medication safety and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree with additional knowledge and/or Certification in geriatrics preferred
• Excellent clinical, organization, interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to provide high quality pharmaceutical care
• 2-3 years’ experience in a clinical pharmacy practice with at least one year of long term care pharmacy practice preferred
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of all applicable nursing home regulations and guidance
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
• This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
