Job summary

A-Line Staffing is seeking a Pharmacist for a 40+ hour work week at 100% on-site location in Madison Heights, MI. The position requires rotating between 1st and 2nd shifts with weekend and holiday rotation.

The Pharmacist dispenses medications, counsels patients, maintains records, coordinates inventory, and may supervise staff. This contract assignment has potential for permanent hire based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist must hold a PharmD and be licensed in the state of practice.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays as required.
• Experience with dispensing medications and counseling patients is essential.

Responsibilities

• Accept, verify, and dispense prescription medications in accordance with standards and regulations.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential concerns.
• Ensure prescribed medications are appropriate for the patient and use.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation.
• Counsel patients on medication administration, storage, side effects, and interactions.
• Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription products as appropriate.
• Educate patients on proper use/handling of devices (as applicable).
• Support compounding and preparation activities (including sterile prep where applicable).
• Supervise or support pharmacy staff and promote efficient workflow.
• Maintain inventory levels of medications and supplies.
• Identify and communicate drug-related problems with prescribers.

A-Line Staffing is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacist – Rotating Shifts. This role offers career growth, a supportive work environment, and full-time hours (40+ per week).

Pharmacist | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION

Location: Madison Heights, MI – 100% on-site

Payrate: $65.75 or 67.51/hr – based on shift

Required Availability: Full-Time | Rotating between 1st and 2nd shift

Shift hours: 1st Shift 7:00 AM–3:30 PM and 2nd Shift 1:30 PM–10:00 PM

Every other weekend required and Rotating holidays

Pharmacist | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS

The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing prescription medications, ensuring safe and appropriate therapy, and providing patient counseling on proper medication use, side effects, and interactions. This role also supports pharmacy operations by maintaining accurate patient records, coordinating inventory practices, and supervising pharmacy support staff as needed. This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.

Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance. A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

Pharmacist | RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accept, verify, and dispense prescription medications in accordance with pharmacy standards and applicable regulations
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential overuse or therapy concerns
• Ensure prescribed medications are appropriate for the patient and intended use
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation
• Counsel patients on medication administration, storage, side effects, and potential drug interactions; answer medication-related questions
• Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription products as appropriate
• Educate patients on proper use/handling of common medical devices (as applicable)
• Support compounding and preparation activities per policy/procedure (including sterile prep where applicable)
• Supervise/support pharmacy staff (e.g., technicians/clerks) and promote efficient workflow
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of medications and supplies
• Identify and communicate drug-related problems with prescribers and other healthcare team members

Pharmacist | REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) (verifiable)
• License: Active Pharmacist license in the state of practice (in good standing)
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as outlined in required availability
