Details and Compensation

Location: Worthington, OH – 100% on-site Payrate: $65.75 to 67.50/hr - based on shift Required Availability: Full-Time | Rotating 10-hour shifts | Must be able to work any of the following shift times: 6:30 AM–4:30 PM, 9:00 AM–7:00 PM, 11:00 AM–9:00 PM, 1:00 PM–11:00 PM Every 3rd weekend required

Summary and Highlights

The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing prescription medications, ensuring safe and appropriate therapy, and providing patient counseling on proper medication use, side effects, and interactions. This role also supports pharmacy operations by maintaining accurate patient records, overseeing inventory practices, and supervising pharmacy support staff as needed. This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

Responsibilities

• Accept, verify, and dispense prescription medications in accordance with applicable laws and pharmacy standards
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential overuse patterns
• Ensure prescribed medications are appropriate for the patient and intended therapy
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation
• Counsel patients on medication directions, storage, side effects, and potential interactions; answer medication-related questions
• Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription products as appropriate
• Educate patients on proper use/handling of common medical devices (as applicable)
• Support compounding and preparation activities per policy/procedure (including sterile prep where applicable)
• Supervise/support pharmacy staff (e.g., technicians/clerks) and promote efficient workflow
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of medications and medical suppliesIdentify and communicate drug-related problems with prescribers and other healthcare team members

Requirements

• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) (verifiable)
• License: Active Pharmacist license in the state of practice (in good standing)
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• Ability to work rotating 10-hour shifts and every 3rd weekend as outlined above
