Job summary

Centennial Hills Hospital in Las Vegas, NV seeks a licensed pharmacist to join Universal Health Services’ network, delivering comprehensive pharmaceutical care within a collaborative patient-care team. You will fill medication orders, counsel patients and coordinate with clinicians to optimize therapies.

The role requires a Nevada Pharmacist license, hospital experience preferred, and a commitment to safety, accuracy and patient education in a high-acuity environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm).
• Current Pharmacist License in the State of Nevada.
• One year hospital setting experience preferred.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate pharmaceutical services.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, patient counseling and teaching.
• Fills orders for medications, monitors patient therapies and provides drug information.

Job Description:

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm)

Experience:

One year (1) experience in hospital setting preferred.

Technical Skills:

Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.)

License/Certification:

Current Pharmacist License in the State of Nevada.

Other:

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.

Job may expose incumbent occasionally or in emergency situations to blood, body fluids, non-intact skin or tissue specimens.
