Job summary

Summerlin Hospital is a 485-bed facility with emergency services, a busy maternity department and a NICU, delivering comprehensive cardiovascular and oncology care in the Las Vegas area. The pharmacist will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care through drug distribution, patient counseling and education, while maintaining narcotic controls and automation systems.

Requires BS Pharm and Nevada licensed pharmacist; hospital experience preferred; strong teamwork and commitment to patient safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm)
• 1 year hospital experience preferred
• Current Pharmacist License in the State of Nevada and active status

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, patient counseling and teaching.
• Fill orders for medications, monitor patient’s drug therapies and provide drug information.

Summerlin Hospital is a 485-bed hospital featuring emergency services; a busy maternity department with an average of 450 deliveries per month; a Children's Medical Center with a NICU, a pediatric ICU and separate pediatric ER; advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women's health, and oncology care. Summerlin Hospital is an accredited Chest Pain with PCI facility and a Primary Stroke Center and has received multiple awards from the American Heart Association Get with the Guidelines program.

Technical Skills

Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.)

License/Certification

Current Pharmacist License in the State of Nevada
