JobRx, Inc. is looking for a Staff Pharmacist in Mountain Home, Arkansas. The pharmacist will be responsible for verifying physician orders, dispensing medications, and providing drug information within a hospital environment.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree of Pharmacy or Pharm D, a current Arkansas Pharmacist license, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently. The position involves 10-hour shifts and may require weekend and holiday work.
Under the general direction of the Director of Pharmacy, the Staff Pharmacist is responsible for reviewing and verifying physician orders, accurately dispensing medications, providing timely and accurate drug information and performing well‑reasoned and appropriate clinical interventions to optimize patient medication therapy.
This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.
Must have ability to communicate effectively, solve problems, stand, walk, and sit for long periods (4–8 h per shift), occasionally bend, stoop, squat, kneel, lift up to 20 lb, use hands repeatedly (IV preparation, computer keyboard), visual and hearing acuity, handle stressful situations, operate equipment, work interruptibly, maintain alertness, and concentrate for long periods.
24/7, 365 days a year. Pharmacy staff: 4 days a week, 10‑hour shifts, may include weekend, holiday, on‑call, and night shifts with occasional long irregular hours.
