Pharmaceutical Sales Representative (PSR)

Join Syneos Health as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative (PSR) and become part of a fast-paced, challenging environment where our compassion and dedication help us meet the unique needs of our customers. The PSR role involves building relationships with recognized experts, healthcare providers (HCPs), and prioritized stakeholders. This position will be integrated within a large biopharmaceutical company, working alongside company team members, with daily coaching and guidance provided by client managers in partnership with the Syneos FTM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve and/or exceed sales targets in your assigned territory by developing and executing an effective business plan focused on key accounts to maximize sales.
  • Identify key influencers and meet interaction expectations with top target customers.
  • Plan and organize activities to ensure consistent coverage of the territory according to a strategic plan.
  • Deliver clinical, brand-specific product presentations to physicians and healthcare professionals.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the healthcare delivery system within each customer, including physician hierarchy, pharmacy personnel, and clinical staff.
  • Deepen product and competitor knowledge and stay informed on local and regional market trends.
  • Analyze market trends to set long- and short-term goals and craft a robust product business plan.
  • Collaborate with peers, brand teams, and support partners to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Manage the territory budget to support sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Complete administrative tasks promptly.
  • Implement the company's brand strategy within your geographic area.
  • Participate in training and development programs.
  • Maintain adherence to all corporate and industry policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS degree required; Life Sciences background preferred.
  • Sales experience (internship, B2B, or pharma).
  • Ability to identify decision-makers, build positive relationships, and demonstrate customer dedication.
  • Ability to learn, apply, and communicate product and disease state knowledge effectively.
  • Proven success in exceeding sales results.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently, highly motivated and collaborative.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and account management skills.
  • Residency within the territory or within its boundaries.

Preferred/Desired Qualifications

  • 2+ years of pharmaceutical experience.
  • Experience selling SGLT2 or GLP1 in diabetes care preferred.
  • Business-to-business sales or internship experience and/or a sales-related degree.
