Job summary

Virbac Animal Health in Bridgeton, MO is seeking a Pharmaceutical Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift. The roleDirectly supervises union operators and technicians in mixing, granulation, formulation, compression and packaging of pharma products.

The candidate will ensure regulatory compliance, safety, quality, and productivity, while driving continuous improvement and staff development on a Mon-Fri 3:00 pm–11:30 pm schedule.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry/Engineering with 5+ years in pharma, or 10+ years with supervisor experience.
• cGMP experience; writing deviations with corrective actions.
• Experience supervising in a union environment is beneficial.
• Supervisory and continuous improvement capabilities required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the shift team of operators and technicians.
• Coordinate production activities to meet the schedule with proper materials and equipment.
• Ensure production complies with SOPs and regulatory rules; QA collaboration.
• Lead kaizen events and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Investigate deviations and perform root cause analysis; support CAPA with QA.
• Maintain safety standards; ensure a safe working environment.
• Coordinate training plans and ensure staff skills for roles.
