Merck & Co., Inc. in West Point, PA, is seeking a Utilities Technician/Stationary Engineer to operate and monitor building utility systems, respond to alarms, and perform cGMP‑compliant maintenance of water treatment, steam, chillers, and related equipment.

Under supervision, you will document work orders, maintain logs, and support continuous operations through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. A High School Diploma, a Stationary Engineer Seal, and trade-school training are required;

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent and a Stationary Engineer Seal.
• Trades school training in industrial power equipment or HVAC is required.
• Military training equivalent to a recognized program is desirable.
• Three years of related experience operating plant equipment is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Operate, monitor, and maintain building utility systems including water treatment, steam, chillers, and related equipment.
• Respond to alarms and perform routine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Document work activities with work orders and maintain logs per cGMP requirements.
• Support planning, procurement, and scheduling within the maintenance team as needed.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other mechanics on problem resolution and shutdowns.
