Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Pharmaceutical Sales Intern to join the diabetes sales team for a hands-on, real-world experience in selling pharmaceuticals while working with seasoned professionals.

You will train under a mentor, engage with customers in clinical discussions, participate in weekly regional calls, and help schedule sales appointments. Eligibility includes current student status and a minimum GPA; strong communication and digital skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing.
• December 2027 – May 2029 graduates only (rising Junior or Senior).
• Student must be enrolled at an accredited college or university for the duration of the internship.
• Overall cumulative GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Major or minor in related field of internship.
• Undergraduate students: 12+ credit hours completed.
• Graduate/advanced degree students: 9+ credit hours completed.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to work the full duration of the internship: May 17, 2027 – August 13, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Participate and successfully complete training and selling skills development.
• In partnership with a mentor/coach, engage with customers and participate in clinical discussions (including Virtual Engagements).
• Attend weekly conference calls with regional field sales to capture learnings and gain insights.
• Schedule appointments for sales colleagues and participate in in-service programs.
