Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Pharmaceutical Sales Intern to join our diabetes sales team in one of our national regions. You will work with a team of experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in selling pharmaceuticals and supporting real-world clinical discussions.

The internship provides structured training, mentorship, and exposure to regional field sales. The position is field-based in the United States with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing.
• Graduation window: December 2027 – May 2029 (rising junior/senior).
• Must be enrolled at an accredited college/university for the duration of the internship.
• Overall GPA 3.0 preferred (on 4.0 scale).
• Major or minor in a related field of internship.
• Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours; graduate/advanced degree students 9 credit hours.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to work the full duration: May 17, 2027 – August 13, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Participate and complete training and selling skills development.
• Engage with customers and participate in clinical discussions with a mentor/coach (including Virtual Engagements).
• Attend weekly conference calls with regional field sales to capture learnings and insights.
• Schedule appointments for sales colleagues and participate in in-service programs.
