Job summary

Pfizer’s Groton site seeks a Process Equipment Engineer to design, develop, and deploy novel equipment systems for clinical API production. You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Validation, Quality, EHS, and vendors to drive equipment readiness from concept to realization.

The role requires a strong track record in process equipment design, safety analyses, and cross-functional influence to solve complex manufacturing challenges.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skill.
• Knowledge of building process principles and safety regulations; know chemical engineering basics.
• Proficient knowledge of cGMP and process safety.
• Project management experience including budgeting and scheduling.
• Experience using AI tools to support problem solving and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize, and execute equipment/facility improvement projects to improve safety, reliability and efficiency.
• Serve as SME for kilo lab process equipment, utilities, controls, procedures, and supporting facility systems.
• Lead or support equipment design, commissioning, qualification, and lifecycle management.
• Lead process safety activities (PHAs/HAZOPs) and implement controls.
• Manage vendor and project interfaces for procurement, installation, startup, and technical support.
