Job summary

Pfizer in Groton, CT seeks a Process Equipment Engineer to design, develop and deploy new equipment systems for clinical API manufacturing. You will work with Operations, Engineering, Validation, Quality, EHS, and vendors to drive equipment readiness and troubleshoot commissioning and qualification.

The role requires a BS/BA in engineering and 4+ years pharma experience; cGMP knowledge; project management; and comfort with fast-paced, cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in engineering or related field with pharma experience or MBA/MS with relevant experience
• Excellent oral and written communication and ability to work in a multi-discipline team
• Knowledge of building process, safety regulations and cGMP principles
• Project management experience including budgeting and scheduling
• Experience using AI tools to support problem solving

Responsibilities

• Identify and execute equipment/facility improvement projects to enhance safety, reliability and efficiency.
• Serve as SME for kilo lab process equipment, utilities, controls and procedures.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Validation, EHS and vendors to resolve issues and deliver solutions.
• Lead or support equipment design, commissioning, qualification, cleaning strategy and lifecycle management.
• Manage vendor and project interfaces for procurement, installation and start-up.
