Job summary

Pfizer Groton is seeking a Process Equipment Engineer to join the CRD Manufacturing team in Groton, CT. You will design, develop, and deploy novel equipment systems for clinical API supplies, collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Validation, Quality, EHS, and vendors to ensure readiness and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Knowledge of building processes, construction principles, and safety regulations.
• Proficient knowledge of cGMP and process safety.
• Project management experience including budgeting and scheduling.
• Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot) to support problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize, and execute equipment/facility improvement projects for safety, compliance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Serve as SME for Kilo Lab process equipment, utilities, controls, and procedures.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Validation, EHS, automation, and vendors to resolve equipment issues.
• Lead or contribute to equipment design, modification, commissioning, qualification, and lifecycle management.
• Lead or support process safety activities (PHAs, HAZOPs, risk assessments).
• Manage vendor and project interfaces for equipment procurement, installation, startup, and support.
