Job summary

PL Developments, a leading manufacturer of OTC pharmaceutical products, seeks a Maintenance Foreman/Lead Man to direct a team of maintenance technicians in a GMP pharmaceutical facility. You will ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with cGMP while promoting teamwork and accountability.

You will mentor staff, schedule maintenance, manage line equipment, and coordinate with QA/QC. Experience in regulated environments, strong leadership and CMMS proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training or associate degree preferred.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a regulated environment (pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device strongly preferred).
• 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience with proven success in managing diverse teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate and unite individuals from different backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to delegate, resolve conflicts, and hold team members accountable while maintaining respect and fairness.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems used in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Familiarity with cGMP, FDA, and OSHA requirements.
• Proficiency with CMMS systems and ability to manage documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership, direction, and support to a diverse team of maintenance technicians and contractors.
• Check Finished Product Specification Book to ensure customer specifications are met.
• Set, adjust and test labeling machinery.
• Set correct code dates for each product produced.
• Report discrepancies to QA, Supervisor and/or Manager.
• Assist in training newly assigned staff in all line production positions when necessary.
• Perform rework of damaged product with team when line is down.
• Complete Batch Records for lines worked; ensure preventative maintenance checks on all line equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment to ensure GMP compliance and cleanliness.
• Work closely with QA/QC, Maintenance, warehouse staff and supervisor/Manager.
• Ensure staff uses appropriate PPE.
• Set up secondary assignments to keep staff productive during downtime.
• Must be able to perform all tasks within assigned lines.
• Other duties as assigned.
