Job summary

ABBVIE is seeking a Production Specialist I for our MD Packaging, B2 Night Shift (7pm-7:30am, Wed-Fri and every other Saturday). You will support setup, changeover and packaging of pharmaceutical products in a high-paced environment, promoting safety and quality on the finishing line.

Responsibilities include line clearances, equipment setup, operation of packaging lines, and driving 6S; involvement with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Technical troubleshooting aptitude preferred.
• Technical certificate or degree preferred.
• Ability to communicate issues to engineering and mechanical teams.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new programs.
• Understanding and experience with systems such as POMs, SAP, and MAXIMO preferred.
• Knowledge of related cGMP requirements and procedures is preferred.
• Standing up to 8-12 hours per day and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Work 40 to 48 hours per week and may work as many as 60 hours depending on manufacturing demands.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety procedures and guidelines.
• Perform housekeeping cleans on finishing lines and complete line clearances for changes.
• Assist in setup of automated equipment in packaging areas.
• Operate automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment to produce finished product.
• Perform quality tasks including sampling, in-process checks and order accountability.
• Sustain 6S of parts and tooling across the production floor.
• Escalate safety, quality, and operating issues to appropriate groups.
• Communicate and drive improvement opportunities with cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and adjust to improve efficiencies.
