Job summary

Smurfit Westrock, a global leader in sustainable packaging, seeks an Operations Manager in Raleigh, NC to lead manufacturing and distribution operations, drive improvements, and manage costs.

Responsibilities include optimizing staffing, implementing preventive maintenance, ensuring GMP and safety, analyzing data to raise OEE, and mentoring teams across shifts. This role reports to the General Manager.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical printing or manufacturing environment.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of the finishing process is required.
• ISO and GMP experience preferred.
• Knowledge of integration with other core processes is critical.

Responsibilities

• Establishes priorities to effectively and efficiently operate all departmental activities.
• Evaluates staffing needs to meet production goals and metrics.
• Partners with maintenance to support a preventive maintenance program.
• Manages operational budget within guidelines and drives process improvements.
• Reports to the General Manager with resource needs to support process goals.
• Promotes teamwork and adheres to safety and GMP requirements.
