Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support pharmaceutical packaging operations in Allentown. You will perform setup, maintenance and repair of Form/Fill/Seal lines, labeling systems, and related equipment, ensuring compliance with cGMPs and CFRs.

Weekend work schedule is required; candidates should be able to lift up to 75 lbs, work in clean room environments, and collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal customers to keep production

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting schematics, drawings, and work orders.
• Familiarity with testing and measuring devices and hand tools.
• Understanding of electromechanical principles.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, PLCs, vision systems, robotics.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and work order tracking software.
• Able to multitask and respond to shifting priorities.
• Good interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates alignment to cGMPs, SOPs and CFRs.
• Drives a philosophy of Practical Process Improvement (PPI) and 5S.
• Performs setup, disassembly, operation and maintenance of packaging machinery.
• Collaborates with vendors and contractors for upgrades and repairs.
• Works with internal and external customers to achieve goals.
• Maintains an organized and safe working environment.
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
