Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a dedicated Assembly Line Lead for a leading pharmaceutical packaging company. The role oversees daily production activities, supports and directs line employees, and operates packaging equipment to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires strong attention to batch records, quality standards, and cross-functional coordination with warehouse, quality, and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds and working around moving machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret batch records and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains packaging equipment per batch record, safety and quality standards.
• Conducts daily line huddle and reviews shift communication and VCB results.
• Directs line crew, assigns positions and ensures roster is signed.
• Ensures components and resources are available at the line.
• Escalates quality, service, and equipment issues to supervision.
• Coordinates with warehouse, quality, maintenance and business units for production needs.
• Records hourly run charts and VCBs; maintains line documentation.
• Interacts with the team to optimize machine performance.
• Orders components as needed and resolves line associates’ questions.
• Completes scrap, recovery and production rate paperwork accurately.
• Leads line clearance, lot in/out, and deep cleaning functions; adheres to safety safeguards.
• Participates in Gemba and Safety Gemba as applicable; may use PPE and PAPR.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.
• Follows PCI Pharma Services, cGMP, and GCP policies.
