Blackfield Associates is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead a critical pharma construction program in Indiana. The role focuses on MEP and Building Management System (BMS) scope from installation through handover, ensuring systems meet GMP expectations and project schedules.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
Experience supporting MEP systems in pharma/regulated environments.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation.
Hands-on experience with Johnson Controls BMS and commissioning.
Experience supporting large capital projects (construction, commissioning, turnover).
Experience coordinating cable installation for power/control/instrumentation.
Understanding GMP and regulated project delivery.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across construction, automation, operations, and QA.
Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to identify and manage technical and schedule risks.

Responsibilities

Serve as owner and single point of contact for MEP and BMS during construction, commissioning, qualification, and handover.
Provide system-level oversight for HVAC, air handling equipment, electrical distribution, power systems, plumbing, water systems, fire protection, and building automation.
Monitor installation progress and system readiness to meet project requirements and schedule commitments.
Coordinate construction, commissioning, turnover, and operations teams for smooth handover of systems.
Support walkdowns, mechanical completion reviews, turnover activities, and punch-list closure.
Coordinate BMS equipment installations, controls integration, instrumentation, network, and cable installation.
Review field changes and as-built updates through governance processes.
Coordinate interfaces between MEP and other disciplines to ensure complete systems.
Identify, assess, and escalate risks, schedule impacts, and readiness concerns.
Provide status updates and technical input to planning, decision-making, and turnover.
Support procurement, vendor coordination, and equipment delivery planning.
Ensure GMP compliance, safety, and operational readiness.
