Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Holly Springs, NC to support a major pharmaceutical manufacturing project. The role focuses on preparing and energizing Direct Impact Systems for commissioning and qualification following Mechanical Completion.

Ideal candidates have hands-on mechanical skills, experience with hand and power tools, and the ability to read P&IDs within a regulated environment. Training will be provided, and safety and GMP compliance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting in a regulated environment.
• Ability to read P&IDs and interpret piping diagrams.
• Experience with hand and power tools and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Support Set-to-Work (STW) activities to energize Direct Impact Systems.
• Execute STW protocols with engineering and project teams.
• Prepare tools, equipment, and resources for project schedules.
• Perform system walkdowns using P&IDs to verify readiness.
• Assist startup activities for bioreactors, water systems and tanks.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform corrective work.
• Repair leaks and secure valves before commissioning.
• Support calibration and field activities for system functionality.
• Collaborate with engineers and commissioning teams for qualification readiness.
• Follow site safety procedures and GMP requirements.
• Operate lifts and other equipment safely (training provided).
