Job summary

Genentech, Inc. in California seeks a Logistics Specialist to ensure life-changing clinical drug products reach destinations safely and efficiently in a cGMP environment.

You will manage receipt, storage, and distribution of finished goods and packaging components, handle domestic and international shipments (hazardous materials and R&D samples), and maintain inventory accuracy using warehouse systems and RF scanners.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 5+ years of logistics/warehouse/inventory experience.
• Strong working knowledge of warehouse workflows, RF scanners, and inventory databases.
• Willingness to meet TSA background criteria and obtain CCSP.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and support occasional overtime as needed.
• Preferred: active IATA certification and experience with international shipping docs.

Responsibilities

• Manage receipt, dispensing, storage and distribution of finished goods, WIP, and packaging components.
• Prepare, pack and process domestic and international clinical drug shipments, including hazardous materials and R&D samples.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and tracking in WMS and RF tools.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and keep storage areas audit-ready.
• Coordinate destruction of rejected/expired drug products per protocols.
• Follow SOPs and participate in training and continuous improvement.
