Job summary

SAS is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Industry Consultant, Pharma to operate as an embedded consultant for a US-based pharmaceutical customer in New Jersey, with option for remote work.

You will lead 12-week innovation sprints, translate business challenges into production-ready SAS solutions, and collaborate with business, data science, engineering and IT teams to deliver measurable value in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 8+ years in life sciences/pharma analytics/consulting or similar roles
• Hands-on analytics/AI‑driven solutions in complex enterprise environments

Responsibilities

• Serve as a forward‑deployed, customer‑embedded consultant with a large pharmaceutical client.
• Lead time‑boxed innovation sprints (~12 weeks) with continuity across multiple sprints.
• Translate business requirements into production‑ready SAS solutions integrated into customer systems.
• Apply life sciences/pharma expertise across R&D, clinical development, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and commercial ops.
• Co‑develop analytical methods and AI‑driven approaches delivering measurable sponsor benefits.
• Bridge industry context and execution in regulated environments.
• Design analytics pipelines and AI/ML workflows using SAS technologies and enterprise integrations.
• Prototype, iterate and operationalize solutions with customer users toward scalable capabilities.
• Collaborate with Global Account Directors, Account Executives, Industry Consultants and technical teams.
