Job summary

FreeThink Technologies, Inc. in Branford, CT seeks a full-time Formulation Scientist/Engineer II/III with hands-on pharmaceutical formulation development experience.

The role involves hands-on lab work, collaboration with analytical development and project management, and mentoring junior staff. Responsibilities include developing drug delivery technologies, documenting batch records, and ensuring compliance with SOPs and GLP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical engineering, material/pharmaceutical science, chemistry, or related discipline.
• 4+ years hands-on experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Participate in customer formulation development projects and development of new drug delivery technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Evaluate emerging drug delivery technologies to expand internal R&D capabilities.
• Mentor and guide junior scientists and technicians in the lab.
• Perform unit operations for solid dosage form manufacturing (dry granulation, fluid bed processing, tableting, coating).
• Document batch records and development reports in compliance with SOPs and GLP.
