Job summary

Unicon Pharma Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead engineering and industrial construction at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Portsmouth, NH.

You will supervise on-site contractors, ensure GMP compliance, and coordinate with QA, engineering, and operations. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in pharma engineering and construction, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in project execution and change control

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in pharmaceutical engineering projects and industrial construction management.
• Strong knowledge of GMP manufacturing practices and change control processes.
• Experience with contractor management, engineering drawings, and construction project execution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site construction contractors, ensuring safety, PPE, permits, quality, and schedule compliance.
• Coordinate construction activities, shutdowns, and communication with stakeholders.
• Review and redline engineering drawings, update as-built documentation, and coordinate with CADD teams.
• Manage GMP change controls in collaboration with Quality teams.
• Support project scoping, vendor coordination, equipment specifications, and budgetary pricing.
• Set up spare parts and maintenance plans in SAP.
