Job summary

Kelly® Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom (SETT) seeks an Equipment Engineering Technician to join our team serving a top global biopharmaceutical client in the Barceloneta, PR area. The role emphasizes maintenance, calibration, programming and configuration of manufacturing equipment to ensure reliable operation under cgmp, FDA and OSHA regulations.

You will dismantle/assemble components, read P&ID and ladder diagrams, and support PLC troubleshooting.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Instrumentation, Industrial Mechanics, Electronics or Electronic Engineering Technology.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical/Electronic, PLC, Controls, Instrumentation/Calibration, basic HVAC and basic Utilities.
Experience repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electro-pneumatic systems.
Puerto Rico Electrician’s License is preferred.

Responsibilities

Dismantle/assemble equipment and replace defective parts.
Read and interpret drawings, P&ID and ladder diagrams as reference during work.
Assist Control Engineer with PLC and control device troubleshooting.
Demonstrate proficiency in Predictive Maintenance and RCAs.
Repair, inspect, calibrate instrumentation for pharmaceutical manufacturing per cgmp/osha.
Calibrate and certify instrumentation for process control according to procedures.
Document calibrations and corrective actions per calibration policies.
Perform preventive, predictive, corrective and calibration maintenance following safety rules.
Provide technical support during emergencies as needed.
