Job summary

Kelly® Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom (SETT) seeks a Project Engineer (Process) to support a brownfield expansion for a GMP facility in Barceloneta, PR. You will act as the owner's representative for process equipment installation and coordinate with the GC, A/E, and site operations.

Responsibilities include permit-to-work coordination, field walkdowns, safety oversight, and reviewing design deliverables with the Lead and A/E to ensure conforming execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-5 years in pharmaceutical/biotech or industrial capital projects.
• Experience with brownfield construction in an operating facility.
• Working familiarity with biologics process systems (buffer prep/hold, transfer panels, CIP/SIP).
• GMP awareness in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Prior commissioning/CQV field-support experience.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Customer's owner-side representative for the process equipment package during brownfield construction; oversees GC and subcontractors.
• Owns permit-to-work coordination for process construction activities within the active facility.
• Conducts field walkdowns, inspections, and punch‑list development; verifies work matches design and site standards.
• Supports construction safety and site safety plan adherence for process activities.
• Acts as liaison between GC, A/E, site operations, and Process Lead to avoid production disruption.
• Reviews A/E design deliverables and GC submittals for alignment with standards.
