Job summary

United Pharma seeks a Digital Plant Engineer to support large-scale pharmaceutical automation projects. The role integrates process engineering, automation, OT/IT, and data/digital systems to align with GMP and regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate across Process Engineering, Operations, IT, Validation, and other stakeholders to translate operational needs into digital solutions and drive site data infrastructure and strategies.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of pharmaceutical API/bulk manufacturing experience.
• Strong automation, OT operations, and DCS engineering background.
• Experience with batch manufacturing and DeltaV Batch DCS.
• Bridge process engineering, operations, automation, IT, and digital/data teams.
• Strong understanding of GMP, regulatory requirements, data integrity, and CSV.

Responsibilities

• Support automation project teams and represent the automation function in Digital Plant initiatives.
• Translate manufacturing and operational requirements into digital and automation solutions.
• Develop and support digital plant strategies, use cases, and data architecture.
• Lead data-flow mapping and contribute to site-level data infrastructure.
• Support AVEVA PI, historians, MES, and other digital manufacturing platforms.
• Contribute to automation philosophy and project technical deliverables.
• Provide technical support and consulting across automation and digital projects.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering, Operations, IT, Automation, Validation, and other stakeholders.
• Communicate project progress, technical issues, risks, and requirements.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, data integrity, and CSV principles.
