Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel in Brownsburg, Indiana is seeking a General Manager for Pharmaceutical Contract Logistics. You will oversee operations, quality, finance, and customer‑facing activities to ensure compliant storage, handling, and distribution of pharmaceutical products.

Lead a high‑performing team, drive continuous improvement with Lean Six Sigma, and partner with Quality, Compliance, HR, and Finance to align site performance with client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Life Sciences, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 10+ years of experience in warehousing or distribution, preferably in pharmaceutical or regulated environments.
• 7+ years of management experience; 3PL pharma experience strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of experience leading Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience communicating with executive‑level customers, presenting operational data, and managing customer expectations in regulated environments.
• Experience working within GMP/GDP/GxP frameworks and supporting audits (internal, customer, regulatory).
• Demonstrated commitment to DEI programs and inclusive leadership practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans ensuring compliant, efficient operations.
• Ensure full adherence to GMP, GDP, GSP, and GxP requirements across processes and docs.
• Partner with Quality to manage deviations, CAPAs, audits, and documentation.
• Oversee temperature‑controlled storage and environmental controls.
• Build strong relationships with pharmaceutical clients and conduct regular business reviews.
• Deliver data‑driven updates to leadership and cross‑functional partners.
• Collaborate with Quality, Compliance, HR, Finance, and Engineering for site alignment.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and Lean Six Sigma projects.
• Maintain equipment calibration and facility systems; ensure safety compliance.
• Own P&L, budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation.
• Develop bench strength and succession planning with HR.
• Champion DEI and inclusive leadership to strengthen culture.
