Job summary

Grifols Shared Services North America, Inc. in Los Angeles, CA is hiring an Electrical Automation Technician to maintain, repair, install and upgrade automated equipment in a pharmaceutical environment.

This role supports process control instrumentation, PLC-based systems and robotics, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance. The position requires at least 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a GMP/FDA-regulated setting, plus the ability to read electrical drawings and PLC

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of robotics, PLCs, drives, sensors, and SCADA/HMI.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and PLC programs.

Responsibilities

• Determine corrective actions when responding to equipment trouble calls.
• Communicate equipment status to manufacturing, engineering, QA, and maintenance teams.
• Perform scheduled and unplanned maintenance on electrical, electro-mechanical, PLC-based equipment.
• Support upgrades and new projects in engineering/maintenance.
• Address equipment malfunctions and ensure safe operations.
• Disassemble and repair electronic/instrumentation equipment.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and safety standards.
• Execute changeovers and sanitation activities.
• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance of process instrumentation.
