Job summary
Grifols in Los Angeles is seeking an Electrical Automation Technician to maintain, repair, install, and upgrade automated equipment in a pharmaceutical/biomedical setting. The role focuses on supporting manufacturing operations with PLCs, robotics, and instrumentation in a GMP-regulated environment.
You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, coordinate with engineering, QA, and maintenance teams, and help implement upgrades.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years maintenance experience in manufacturing, pharma preferred.
- Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and PLC program documentation.
- Familiar with safety codes and GMP environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Respond to equipment trouble calls with corrective actions.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, QA, and maintenance on status and timelines.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on electrical and PLC-based systems.
- Assist with upgrades and new projects.
- Disassemble and repair instrumentation equipment.
- Ensure safe operations and environment per laws and policies.
